SeniorPreneurs SA at Scots Church Adelaide

201802seniorpScots Church Adelaide is to house the SeniorPreneurs SA Project. SeniorPreneurs SA is a co-working space for older people entering entrepreneurship. Its mission is to provide a friendly, supportive and encouraging opportunities through meetings, networks and office space to help older entrepreneurs develop and grow, and to engage in enterprise and entrepreneurship activities. 

SeniorPreneurs SA was launched on 17th February 2015 with financial support from the SA Office for the Ageing and in-kind support from The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI), PricewaterhouseCoopers SA, Microsoft SA, City of Adelaide, Polaris Business and Innovation Centre (Mawson Lakes), Adelaide business hub That (Port Adelaide), Eastside Business Enterprise Centre (Newton, Payneham and Norwood), Spicer Uniting Church (St Peters).

Following its launch, SeniorPreneurs SA held a number of networking meetings around Adelaide area, has been promoted in regional centre (Victor Harbour) and has provided the basis for presentations of research papers at national and international conferences.

 In 2018, Scots Uniting Church Adelaide agreed to take on SeniorPreneurs SA as an outreach activity. A co-working space has been set up at Tanner Room with a capacity to host up to ten guests a day divided into two separate sessions. Dr Peter Balan OAM will coordinate the programme and  I will be assisting him in the administrative aspects.
