Rev Arthur John Wade from Victoria was inducted into Chalmers Church in 1907. He was a forceful and attractive preacher and Chalmers Church became a centre for professors and students from the University and doctors and nurses from the Adelaide Hospital. Mr. Wade had spent a life of service and beautiful devotion. In South Australia he received the highest honour that the Church could give a minister, when he was made Moderator General of the Assembly.[i]In 1913 he accepted a call from St Peter’s Presbyterian Church, North Sydney.
